There is good news for the students doing regular research in Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University. According to the new research ordinance of DDU, now regular researchers will not have to leave their PhD if they get a job midway. They will be able to leave the regular option and do part time PhD. With this, not only will his job continue but his PhD will also be completed. The Executive Council of DDU has also given its final approval on this.
DDU has made comprehensive changes in its research ordinance keeping in view the guidelines of UGC and the provisions of NEP. Earlier, if a researcher got a job before the completion of his research, he had to choose between the job and his research. Researchers used to get stuck in the middle. Due to lack of any other option and a good job, many researchers used to abandon their research studies. Many students thought it better to leave their jobs.
