Bihar Niyojit Shikshak Recruitment: Bihar State Primary Teachers Association is opposing the conduct of online competency test by the teachers. After which Director of Secondary Education Kanhaiya Prasad Srivastava has written a letter directing to take strict action against the teachers who participated in the protest.
Let us tell you, the process of application for Bihar Competency Test is going on and the applications will be open till 15th February. Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will conduct the competency test between 26th February and 13th March.
At the same time, protests are taking place at many places regarding Bihar Competency Test. The teachers have announced to demonstrate in front of the Bihar Assembly on February 13 against the competency test. Due to which Director Kanhaiya Prasad Srivastava has issued a letter to stop the protests.
It is written in the letter that it is noteworthy that the school is open on 13th February. On the day when schools are open and teachers are joining the protest, it means that they are creating obstruction in the teaching work in schools.
Clear instructions have been given to the District Education Officers that if any kind of protest program is organized by the teachers employed in the district, then necessary action should be taken by considering it as an illegal gathering under Section 141 of the IPC. Besides, instructions have also been given to register an FIR against the teachers under Section 186, Section 187 and other relevant sections of the IPC.
Primary teachers union burnt copy of competency test
Teachers associated with the Bhabhua block unit of Bihar State Primary Teachers Association on Monday burnt a copy of the decision taken by the Education Department for the competency test and raised slogans against the government. Block President of Teachers Association, Arun Kumar Yadav presided over the protest program at the main gate of the block office. He said that it has been said that the teachers employed by the government will be given the status of government employees. The Chief Minister had said that a normal examination would be conducted for the teachers and after that they would be given the status of state employees. Despite this, the department has asked to take the competency test. This exam is not being conducted offline.
Muzaffarpur, Saraiya: Burnt copy of competency test manual
Teachers employed in BRC campus protested against the competency test on Monday evening by burning a copy of the manual. Teachers said that the government is cheating teachers in the name of examinations. We have already given all the proficiency and TET exams, then why the competency exam? Teachers called for agitation against the government and said that they will fight for their rights from the streets to the House. Umashankar Singh, Anil Kumar, Raju Kumar Sahni, Sanjeev Kumar, Vinay Dwivedi, Surendra Rajak, Ramdayal Rai, Priyadarshi Paswan were present on this occasion.
Teachers union announced not to fill competency test form
The meeting of the district unit of Bihar Secondary Teachers Association was held in Shri Krishna Nagar Ahri, Aurangabad under the chairmanship of District Secretary Amitabh Ranjan and District President Sarangdhar Singh. In the meeting, a resolution was taken against the teachers employed as per the orders of Bihar Government not to fill the form for the competency test. The District President said that all teachers will have to unitedly oppose the government order. Do not fill the teacher competency form. State Executive Member Surendra Kumar alias Uma Babu, while explaining the specifics of the letter issued by the government, said that no government can remove a government employee from service on the basis of examination.
